Well, I picked a bad decade to give up FreeCell. Addiction re-started. FreeCell Quest is a great, fast paced (many features to speed up card movement), and many variations of card layout (depth vs width) which get more challenging the farther you "fight" your way across the beautiful map, added with a layer of card and gear collection to open new options, powers and gear to assist your way through ever increasing and larger stacks of suits and cards. Another great game by Legend Studio.. So I don't know♥♥♥♥♥♥about Freecell. I just got this game from something, don't remember.Anyway, I was getting super frustrated with my cards not wanting to move or sometimes not wanting to be dragged to a different location. Checked the discussions, nothing. Checked the store page and found plenty of reviews explaining that it's a "bug" and I may not be as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as I believed. Also, like some others have said, there really is no RPG aspect. Like, they kind of just tacked on a little guy and some inventory spots. Your health and mana are more or less just there. Why not just get rid of the health and add a timer? Because that's what the health actually is. If you miss clearing a glowing spot, it hurts you. It's not like you get attacked or anything. Just some cards going "pop pop" and hurting you. I never really ♥♥♥♥ed around with the spells except the base one, which more or less just gives you infinite undo's. That's cool I guess but I never really used it.It's not much of an RPG. As for the actual Free Cell aspect, you'd have to check the other reviews because I'm not one who played that more than once. I just can't recommend this game when it feels like you have to solve the "puzzle" the way the developer solved it, not your own or the other 10 ways.. This is odd. I don't know why I like it so much. They took a lame card game and made it great. The map is fun to explore. It makes you want to conquer one more spot.. Good and fresh concept.. Long time player of freecell since the days of four games on Windows 95. Freecell was always my favorite of the four, so this game caught my eye. Have played a lot of versions of frecell in Apple's App Store, and this take is by far the best I've played. Very original by adding the RPG element. If you really like freecell and looking for an addictive, original take on the game, definitely get this. It's really cheap too, and worth the five bucks! Great work Legend Studio!. First, before anything else: FreeCell Quest is not FreeCell. If you wish to play FreeCell, install the default one found in Windows (I think that they have some free versions for Linux as well). This game is well done, I did not have crashes or any problems. Why I do not recommend it? I did not enjoy too much the experience, because:- I expected to play FreeCell. This is not FreeCell, the game in which I was always aiming to obtain 100% success rate (I had 1 failed game every few hundred games played). This game has 2 or 3, or 6 or more suites to complete: it should be fine if it would not be time restricted.- In this game you should click like crazy. It is not the classic FreeCell where you actually have time to think, here you have to click-click-click or otherwise there will be some quite fast punishes (time limiting) and you will have to take again the "challenge" to finish one arrangement. Funny thing, I received some punishes for not shuffling some prepared suits that I had... I had one column and I received the command to flush it. Forget it, I arranged to have that suit, I will not destroy it just because. If you find it at reduced price, maybe you would like to try it. Personally, I am uninstalling it without finishing it, it is enough already.. Pick this up during the winter sale, was looking for solitare style card games. So far so good! I like the card attacks makes the game more interesting.. So I buy the game, install it, and look at the first menu. I'm curious what "Evaluate" does. I click there. It gives an option to like or dislike the game without any option to do neither. Fortunately, exiting Steam and then restarting solves the problem. Then I create a character and start a game. There's no tutorial that I see but there are boxes of text that explain the game. I'm still reading the text when the game starts attacking my character. So I click "Pause." That's not a good option. Some of the text is completely obscured and the rest is darkened and less readable than before.Suggestion to the developers: Don't start the attack timer till the player makes a first move. That'll at least allow enough time to read the text.Maybe this is a good game for people who already know how to play it, but it's an annoying game for new purchasers. I'll try it again later. But not today. This was a $1.00 purchase off a coupon. And now I see Steam demands a Yes or No on recommending this game. So it's No for now, but there really should be an option to do neither.
